Suya in Bali

Suya is thinly sliced meat coated in suya spice, a smoky and spicy blend, and served with fresh red onion. It is one of Africa’s favourite street foods, and a great late-night order.

What is suya spice?

Suya spice is a dry spice mix. Recipes vary, but it is usually built on ground peanuts, chili and warm spices. It gives the meat a smoky, nutty and spicy coating. If you have a nut allergy, please tell us before you order.

What does Suya taste like?

Smoky, savoury and spicy, with fresh crunch from the red onion. It is great on its own, as a snack, or next to Jollof Rice.

How we serve it

Our Suya is meat coated in traditional suya spice and red onion. Choose beef, goat meat, chicken or gizzard. Want more heat? Try our Spicy Meats, spicy sauced meat with African spices and veggies. Both are on the menu.
