The best African food in Bali: what to order
Looking for the best African food in Bali? Start here. This is a short guide to the dishes people love most, what they taste like and how to eat them, from the kitchen at Uncle Ray’s Buka in Canggu.
What is African food like?
African home cooking is hearty, warm and full of flavour. Think rice slowly cooked in a rich tomato and pepper base, thick soups packed with greens, meat and fish, and soft sides like fufu that you eat with your hands. Most dishes are built around a few things: tomatoes and peppers, onions, palm oil, ground spices, and plenty of slow cooking.
Uncle Ray’s Buka is known for its generous, home-style plates. We are a delivery kitchen in Canggu, so the food comes to your villa, home, office or even your co-working space.
